The program is structured so that you can prepare a GRI Standards compliant sustainability report together with your corporate team. The content consists of objectives and topics divided into weeks.
Weekly Flow and Outputs
1. Week Beginning, Purpose and General Education
Introduction of the mentoring process, expectations and timeline. Purpose and benefits of sustainability reporting. General structure of GRI Standards (GRI 1, GRI 2, GRI 3, Topic Standards). How previous carbon footprint studies will be assessed in the report.
Objective: To clarify the purpose, scope and operation of the program.
2. Week General Training (Continuation) and GRI 2 Organization Profile and General Information
Corporate information (name, sector, location, field of activity). Organizational structure, main products/services. Identification of the supply chain. Markets operated in, size data. List of documents required for data collection.
Goal: To define the identity of the organization.
3. Week GRI 2 Governance, Ethics and Compliance
Duties of the highest governing body and committees. Strategic decision-making processes. Code of ethics and anti-corruption policies. Collection of necessary documents.
Objective: To define management structure, areas of responsibility and ethical principles.
4. Week Stakeholder Engagement and Strategic Approach
Listing of internal and external stakeholders. Stakeholder prioritization criteria. Participation methods and frequencies. Strategic objectives and vision/mission in the context of sustainability.
Objective: Identify stakeholders and define engagement methods.
5. Week GRI 3 Materiality Analysis (Identification of Key Issues)
Topic pooling (GRI Topic Standards and sectoral research). Stakeholder surveys and interview schedule. Impact prioritization method. Creating a materiality matrix.
Objective: To identify priority sustainability issues.
6. Week Environmental Issues and Data Mapping
Energy use, water consumption, emissions, waste management. Integration of existing carbon footprint data. Identification of data sources and identification of missing data. Preparation of evidence documents.
Objective: To collect data for priority environmental issues.
7. Week Social Issues and Data Mapping
Employee profile, occupational health and safety, training, diversity. Local community contributions and social responsibility projects. Human rights in the supply chain. Data and evidence collection.
Objective: To collect data and content for social indicators.
8. Week Economic Issues and Data Mapping
Economic performance and investor relations. Local economy contribution. Supply chain management practices. Data collection and verification.
Target: To complete the economic indicators.
9. Week Draft Report Preparation
Creating the first draft of the report with all the data collected. Consistency check between sections. Preparation of the GRI Content Index. Objective: To create the first draft report.
10. Week Feedback, Revision and Final Plan
Receiving feedback from management and stakeholders. Making revisions. Creating the final version delivery plan. Improvement suggestions and KPI tracking for the following year. Goal: To produce the final version of the report.
Note
The program includes weekly mentoring sessions and hands-on training. It focuses on methodological progress and internal capacity building. The process is monitored with standard checklists, task plan and release management with CimpactPro MENTOR 360 approach.
